At Smith Accountancy we aim to get to know our clients and their business so that we can add the personal touch to our service and understand your business aims, your goals and your strengths.
Founded by Jacqueline Malcolm (née Smith), our business so far, has been built on word-of-mouth and exceptional hands-on service.
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999, Jacqueline worked her way up through varying industries, primarily in Financial Controller roles until she became a Finance Director in 2016. She has also been running Smith Accountancy as a sole trader business since 2010, and in 2021 she decided to make Smith Accountancy her full-time business.
Smith Accountancy was then incorporated in 2022 and has an office in Stepps just outside Glasgow, enabling Jacqueline to meet her clients in person and carry out face-to-face appointments when required.
With a focus on small businesses, and those who are in the first few years of trading, Jacqueline has a wide range of knowledge and experience to enable you to focus on running your business whilst your tax, payroll, pension and accounting responsibilities are taken care of in the best possible way.
Smith Accountancy is also supported by Jacqueline Mackay (yes, another Jacqueline!) who has worked as a Personal Assistant for 30 years. Much of her career has been spent in the Accountancy sector, but she also has experience in Education, Architecture and Engineering, Surveying, Law, Event Management and Construction. Jacqueline and Jacqueline first worked together in 1996 when Jacqueline (Malcolm) began her Chartered Accountancy training, and they continued to work for the same accountancy firm for several years and have kept in touch ever since.
